The media conference was opened by Ali al-Rubaie and Hind al-Dulaimi, which opened the conference by a video report on the war correspondent woman, followed by a speech by the president of the Iraqi Journalists Women Forum (IWJF), Mrs. Nibras Al-Mamouri, in which she described the role of the forum in honoring the name of the military correspondent , Through the announcement of a competition named after fellow correspondent Shiva Kurdi, who was killed while covering the events of the war.
Al-Mamouri pointed to the importance of the role of the real media in promoting national feeling and peaceful coexistence among all the Iraqi people, She concluded by thanking all those who supported the Forum in its work, stressing that this moral support was the reason for the Forum to decide to form a network of women human rights defenders.

The conference included the announcement of the establishment of a network of women human rights defenders announced by Dr. Bushra Al-Obeidi said: “The establishment of the network was necessary now, especially after a series of violations against women defenders in Iraq and the network aims to protect women human rights defenders and work to find a law to protect them. “
