Erbil: Follow-up
The Board of Directors Sawtuha Network for Women Human Rights Defenders held its regular meeting in Erbil on July 11, 2019, by participation of network coordinators from civil society organizations from different governorates of Iraq.
The participants discussed the reality of women in each governorate, the challenges faced by them and the priorities of the problems that the network has to address, in addition to the quality of the workshops to be established in each governorate and the objectives to be achieved.
Also the participants discussed the outcome of the UPR, the organizations that contributed to its writing, the advocacy campaign organized by the network in cooperation with the Iraqi Media Forum, as well as the coordination to be announced later.
The organizations that participated in the meeting were distributed between the provinces (Kirkuk, Nineveh, Diyala, Karbala, Najaf, Babil, Salah al-Din and the Kurdistan region in addition to the capital Baghdad).
