Erbil: IWJF
The IWJF and “Sawtoha” Network for Human Rights Women Defenders held a training workshop on monitoring and documentation in Erbil for the period 29-31 of August, with the participation of 15 male and female journalists and activists from various governorates of Iraq.
The workshop included: monitoring and documentation, the way of writing reports and practical training on the skills and mechanisms of documentation, monitoring, and how to provide greater protection and confidentiality of files.
The activity was concluded by practical training for all training materials and ways of using search engines such as Google and Google maps as well as verifying images and their quality.
At the end of the workshop, the trainees were given certificates of participation by international media trainers Lamia Al-Ameri, board member of the Forum and Dr. Woroud Naji Al-Aredhi, head of Al-Janaein Center and the Forum’s Advisor, in the presence of Dr. Nibras Al-Mamouri, President of the IWJF.
The activity was held under the “The Protection and Security of Women Journalists and Human Rights Defenders” project, with the support of the Canadian organization, Internative.
